Grab Your Chance to Win $31 Million

27 October 2000

Grab your chance to win $31 Million when you visit the TahoeGamingGuide.com! That’s right, in order to make it worth your while to visit, I have added the lottery feature.... Who knows? You might win! Plus, after you have grabbed your chance, you can check out what Harrah’s Entertainment is doing with their new interactive site, and your email address might be worth $5,000! It’s all in one convenient place! Harrah’s Tahoe has that new elegance added.... Small wonder... What a $30 million makeover could do for me! If you haven’t seen the new improved Harrah’s, then you need to come up to Lake Tahoe and take a look. And I understand there are miracles going on at the Harrah’s in Reno, also! They have some progressive jackpots that are climbing right up there, also.

Caesars Tahoe hosted the Moody Blues last weekend... A sold out house both nights... And what an incredible journey it was through time. While I was at Caesars Tahoe for the show, I stopped by and got myself a new Emperor’s Club Card... Swiped it through the Break the Bank machine, and a Donny Osmond looking Caesar awarded me $25 in Caesars Bucks... And my husband gained an entry into the free daily slot tournament... Which is the "Road to Riches" and is really fun to play in! Good for the top 100 single scores to come back in December for a shot at $100,000 worth of prizes... The winner getting $50,000 cash! Hey, I know a good deal when I see one... Rules and more info on the Caesars Tahoe progressives page on the TahoeGamingGuide.com

The Horizon is getting ready for Halloween, with a huge crowd expected for the royal bash of the year with the Freaker’s Ball... Ghouls, goblins, witches, and brew, this is the biggest bash in town... A must not miss affair for the creepy-minded! The Horizon is still paying out lots of jackpots... Somebody won $5000 on a nickel monopoly game... 5 "banks" lined up with the maximum bet... Who said nickels don’t pay good? If you are looking to see what kind of season specials the Horizon is offering for the upcoming ski season, there is a link on their progressive jackpots page... Click on the animated skier, then wax and tune those skis!

Lakeside Inn had their $10,000 Slot and Video Poker Tournament last Saturday. I sat down with 96 people who were pounding spin buttons like there was no tomorrow... Or holding and drawing on the other side of the casino. "Mr. Bingo", Rory, was running all over the place with a headset microphone on, and the action continued through various rounds all day long. Just goes to show that with gambling, "it ain’t the train, it’s the engineer..." My bad luck persisted throughout the whole day... So I dug into some golden fried prawns in the Timber House restaurant, and went home exhausted. I was also saddened to hear that the Lakeside Inn’s Head Innovator, Todd Majoris, has announced that, after nearly 10 years with the company, his last day will be November 11th. Todd has been an incredible source of energy and one of my biggest supporters since I started this insane venture 267 days ago. I am going to miss him dearly.

Harveys is getting ready for their November 3rd Final Tournament, from their Play a Year on Us tournament... Some lucky soul will get $100,000 worth of Reel Rewards cards, allowing them to have what must be unlimited fun during the year at Harveys. Also upcoming is their continuing Live Legends show... With the wrap being put on it by John Kay and Steppenwolf appearing in the Cabaret Theater in November... Check the schedules and prices on their progressive jackpots page!

The season is trying to move past Autumn and into winter... The last of the Aspens have turned into brilliant yellows, oranges, and reds, and snow still graces the peaks surrounding the lake. The gondola froma block west of the casinos that will run halfway up to Heavenly ski area this year is almost completed. It opens in December... And the whole area on both sides of the state line are taking on a new look. Haven't been to Tahoe? What is keeping you?
